The Principle: Don’t just tell people what you’re selling. Tell them where you’re going and what you’re trying to change. Customers, employees, and partners are more likely to stick with you when they believe in what you’re building. Sell the destination, not just the vehicle.
Sell the vision, not just the product.
The Hard Truth
Features get compared. Vision gets followed.
Executive Insights 👥 Let me tell you how that played out in my company.

đź“– the book behind the Rule
Start With Why, by Simon Sinek
People become loyal because they believe in why you do what you do. The best businesses know what they stand for, communicate it clearly, and let that belief guide how they make decisions, serve customers, and build their teams. Products can be copied. Prices can be matched. But a clear purpose gives people a reason to choose you, stay with you, and tell others about you. The lesson isn’t to come up with a clever slogan or pretend your business has a grand mission. It’s to get honest about why your business exists and make sure your actions match it.
Executive Takeaway: Give people something worth believing in, and your product becomes more than something they can buy.
“People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.”
— Simon Sinek

People need more than a list of features and a price. They need to understand what you’re trying to accomplish and why it matters. If all you talk about is what the product does, someone else can copy it. Give people a reason to believe in what you’re building.
