Here’s our business model.
Step one: Create something genuinely valuable.
Make it absolutely free.
Ask nothing in return.
Step two: Trust that enough good people still believe in The American Dream and are willing to do the work.
We think that feels refreshingly old-fashioned.
And we hope you find it comfortable, relaxing and useful.
Remember when you could visit a website…and just read?
We’re going to try and bring that idea back.
β here is our Executives Institute website promise to you:
- No popup asking for your email
- No cookie banner covering half the screen
- No video that starts playing by itself
- No “unlock premium” to access the valuable content
- No “sign up for our newsletter” before you’ve read the first paragraph
Everyone is trying to make their websites smarter. We’re simply trying to make ours quieter. We believe our greatest feature is the absence of features. Just fundamental Rules, hard truths about building and running a business and priceless insights from your colleagues. This is our Standard. We’re counting on you to help hold us to it.
β things you won’t find here:
- There is no option to subscribe
- There is no membership availability
- There is no “for a limited time” urgency
- There is no progress bar, study reminders or daily motivations
- There is no diploma, degree, participation trophy or certificate of accomplishment
Information, insights and ideas. That’s all you’ll get here. The Executives Institute exists for one reason: to help business leaders think better, not to interrupt them every 30 minutes. We’ve removed the distractions, so you can focus on building your business. Sometimes the most refreshing innovation is just removing everything that gets in the way.
β The Executives Institute is different
- You will not be able to register or sign-in for anything. We won’t even know you’re here.
- You will not have your personal information sold, shared or monetized. Because we don’t collect it.
- You will not be emailed, called, contacted by us for any reason, unless you specifically request information from us first. Your attention is yours.
- You will not have your personal or company information leveraged as an asset to us. No emails. No data sales. No exceptions.
- You will not be asked for any personal or company information unless you are contributing stories and insights or supporting The Institute with a financial donation.
If you choose to contribute, financial or otherwise, we will not hound you. We will not be that organization. I promise you. I have personally had to block great organizations with great mission statements from my phone and my email, because they would not leave me alone following a simple donation. We appreciate your support and we respect your privacy.
β The Executives Institute does not have everything
- We do not have a promise of business transformation in 90 days.
- We do not have a simple solution to complex business situations.
- We do not have easy answers to difficult business questions.
- We do not have a cool app or a gamified process for studying business fundamentals.
- We do not have a magic bullet to make money overnight. You gotta show up. You gotta do the work.
We are not going to remove the friction. We’re not going to try and simplify things that should be slowly and seriously thought through. We’re not going to re-brand these old ideas (the Rules of Business) as some sort of new breakthrough. These principles have endured for decades, often centuries. The Executives Institute Rules of Business are simply reminders and conversation starters, nothing more. We don’t pretend.
The “new stuff” comes from you. The value happens in application, reflection and repitition.
β we’re not building this for everyone
We are building The Executives Institute for leaders willing to take responsibility for their own development. Leadership requires initiative. Good leaders manage their own calendars, commitments, and priorities. We’re not going to chase you and lure you back if you don’t find value in The Institute. We want to challenge you, not chase you. Show up. Do the work. Thatβs it. The Executives Institute respects leaders who respect themselves. We will not lower our Standard to increase participation.
Thank you for supporting The Institute and for everything you’re doing to keep America number one! I genuinely appreciate it.

Remember, we’re here if you need us. It doesn’t have to be lonely at the top.
You won’t find us everywhere. The good stuff appears in just two places. We may promote The Institute on Facebook or X, but our educational content appears only on this site and our LinkedIn pages. Those who value it will find it.
