📌 What You Need To Know

The who, what, why, and how of The Executives’ Institute.
Timeless business principles. Collective modern insight.

What is The Executives’ Institute?

The Executives’ Institute is a private, member-based platform built for serious business leaders. We focus on timeless Business Rules, each paired with a proven book, practical insights, and questions that prompt real executive thinking.
This isn’t a course. It’s not a trend. It’s a framework for sharpening discipline, making better decisions, and staying grounded in what works.

👤 Who should join?

Business owners, senior executives, and key leaders who value fundamentals over fads. If you believe execution beats inspiration, and that repetition of the right disciplines builds great companies — this was made for you.

It’s also built for those thinking long-term: leaders who aren’t just chasing success, but shaping legacy. If you want to sharpen your own thinking while helping others rise — whether mentoring your team, developing future owners, or shaping the next generation of leadership — The Executives’ Institute offers the structure and substance to support that work.

🎓 What do I get as a Member?

  • Full access to our evolving Business Rules
  • Curated recommended readings tied to each rule
  • Practical insights and scenarios for real-world context
  • “Ask the Right Questions” prompts for use with your team
  • Monthly Blind Spot Sessions and Rule Roundtables
  • Ability to submit challenges and receive curated Rule pairings
  • Option to contribute Rules or Collaborate with peers

🧱 How is this different from a book club or leadership course?

We’re not a book club — we’re a principle-first institute.
The Rules come first. The books support them. And the discussions are driven by Members — experienced, no-nonsense leaders who are still learning. This is about sharpening what’s essential.

📅 When does it start? Can I join anytime?

Enrollment is open year-round.
But we follow a traditional rhythm:

🟢 Official Year Begins: September 1, 2025

🟡 Soft Launch: June 1, 2025

Between June and September, we’ll be building The Rules, book pairings, and member pages, plus new Rules, every week. This is a rare chance to help shape the foundation — with input from real business leaders, in real time.

👉 If you’re interested in helping shape the direction of the Institute — or want to contribute content, insight, or strategy — consider becoming a Collaborator. [Learn more here.]

💵 How Much Does It Cost?

Enrollment is simple:

  • $10/month
  • $100/year (get two months free)

We’re not shy about it — that’s less than what most executives spend on coffee, streaming services they forgot to cancel, or that one software subscription no one on your team actually uses. For the cost of one forgettable lunch, you gain access to timeless business insight built to outlast the trends.

Discounted or complimentary access is available for specific business organizations and those referred by strategic partners. See full details on our [Register]

🧠 What’s the difference between a Member and a Collaborator?

  • Members get full access.
  • Collaborators shape the direction.

Collaborators submit ideas, test early features, contribute content, and help extend the Institute’s reach with other serious business leaders.

Let’s be honest — we’re building something meant to grow through participation, not passive consumption. We’d rather have more players on the field than fans in the stands. If you’re wired to contribute, we’d love to have you in the game.

🛠 Should I Use This With My Team?

That’s exactly the point.
Each Rule includes discussion prompts designed for executive meetings, planning sessions, and leadership conversations. Bring the Rules to your boardroom — and sharpen the dialogue.

This platform is built to help you not only run your business better, but pass it on wiser. Whether you’re mentoring next-generation leaders, preparing for a transition of ownership, or developing a succession bench, the Rules offer a shared language and a foundation of clarity. Legacy isn’t just what you leave behind — it’s what you build into others while you’re still here.

🔁 How Often Is New Content Added?

The Institute is built to grow — not just launch and sit still.
New Rules, book pairings, and insights are added quarterly, with refinements happening continually based on real-world feedback from business leaders like you.

This is a living body of work. As Members contribute challenges, ideas, and experiences, the content deepens — and so does its value.

We don’t have a formal Member dashboard (yet), but you can choose to receive monthly email updates highlighting what’s new, what’s coming, and how to get involved. Or, simply check in regularly to see what’s new.

📱 Is There an App?

Not yet — but one is in development.
We’re building The Council, an AI-powered companion designed to help leaders surface relevant Rules, clarify thinking, and guide better decision-making in real time.

The goal: to put the best of The Executives’ Institute — and the thinking behind it — right in your pocket.

Development is underway, and we want Member input to shape the app’s functionality. From use cases to features, your insights will help us build something that actually fits how leaders work, meet, and think.

✏️ Why the pencil icon?

The pencil marks every section where dialogue (or self-reflection) should begin.
It represents our core belief: Progress begins with better questions. You’ll find it near discussion prompts and contribution features. The Pencil Parable is at the bottom of our Collaborators page and should be shared with everyone…in our humble opinion.

🏛 How do I become a Founding Member, Mentor or Sponsor?

Founding Members are hand-selected, nominated, referred, or simply take the initiative we’re looking for. If you’ve received an invitation or want to be considered, [reach out directly]

🧍‍♂️ Who is behind The Institute?

The Executives’ Institute was founded by Kurt McSparron, also the founder of The Executives Club of Fargo-Moorhead. This Institute was created to expand on years of trusted executive gatherings (with business leaders far wiser than himself) — into a living, evolving body of business wisdom.

It would not exist without the unending support, continual assistance and quiet resilience of the spouse of a serial entrepreneur — his wife, Elle.
